Reconcile of testing definition

Software Testing is not a hunt for bugs rather “Testing is questioning a product in order to evaluate it.” – James Bach

“Software testing is an empirical investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the product or service under test.” – Cem Kaner

“Testing is always a search for information.”

I’m practicing these definitions to enhance way of work.

Testers help the team to deliver good quality of product. We are not critic but building the bridge between team and stakeholders. To build a bridge there should be proficiency. The hard part of this proficiency is to keep good ramp up between the development team and stakeholders.

Shall we then reconcile the definition right?
